Though not designed for pursuits with a lot of movement, such as alpine climbing or skiing and snowboarding, even our heaviest insulated parkas for men are designed to be as breathable as possible. To most efficiently move moisture away from your body, we suggest using a layering system just as you would with our active insulated jackets and vests.

Our men’s parkas are built using techniques and materials that help us fulfill Patagonia’s purpose: To save our home planet. Recycled Down:To reduce waste, 100% of the down and feathers used in our men’s down parkas are reclaimed from used cushions, bedding and other items. Recycled Fabrics: Like 98% percent of our products, our men’s parka coats use recycled polyester or nylon fabrics and insulation to reduce our reliance on virgin raw materials. NetPlus®: To help reduce ocean plastic pollution, our men’s Downdrift Parka and Downdrift 3-in-1 Jacket use NetPlus® 100% recycled nylon made from recycled fishing nets. Made without PFCs: Many of our men’s parkas and coats use a PFC-free durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated “forever” chemicals. Fair Trade Certified™ Sewn: All our men’s parka jackets are Fair Trade Certified™ sewn, which means the people who made them earned a premium for their labour.
