Heath Joske
You don’t often see a soul arch in a world tour contest – not in 40 years anyway – so when Heath performed the move at Jeffrey’s Bay he became an instant cult hero, even more so after quitting contests and surfing for himself soon after. Coming from a family of shapers and surfers it’s in the blood. Heath has made the sparse west coast of South Australia his home, building his own house, living simply with his young family, and surfing wild, empty waves.
